Yuletide Day 20
✨ Day 20: Questionable Look, Excellent Taste ✨
Today is National Ugly Sweater Day, and we’re having some fun with it!
If you come in wearing an ugly sweater, we are treating you to a complimentary Shanky’s Whip shot! It’s a smooth Irish whiskey liqueur with a rich vanilla vibe, and it’s ridiculously easy to enjoy. And kids in ugly sweaters can enjoy a festive sundae!
✨For today’s main reveal, our Pork Chop is the star!
Enjoy $10 off this hearty winter entrée. (Starting with dinner menus at 2pm)
Our thick-cut 16 oz bone-in pork chop is served with champ, sautéed kale, pickled cabbage, mustard cream sauce, and parsley. It does take a little time to prepare, but we promise it’s worth the wait.
Just let your server or bartender know you’re part of the Yuletide Countdown and that you’d like to enjoy the Pork Chop special.
No cozy winter meal is complete without dessert! We’ve just added on a NEW Sticky Toffee Pudding as our seasonal dessert. Served warm with vanilla bean ice cream and toffee sauce, and yes, it’s gluten free. You’d honestly never know. I tried to take a photo, but it disappeared too quickly. Way to go Chef Brad!
✨Week 3 Riddle Answer and Winners✨
Thank you to everyone who played along with this week’s riddle:
Stretched between a garden green
And halls where ancient books convene.
No wheels pass through my stone laid way,
Yet strangers pause along my way.
At Christmastime my lights shine bright,
And buskers warm the winter night.
Where poets passed and music stays,
What street is this that crowds still praise?
The correct answer was Grafton Street.
Grafton Street is one of Dublin’s best known pedestrian streets, running between St Stephen’s Green and Trinity College. In December, it becomes especially lively as holiday lights go up and street performers line the route throughout the day. Carolers, musicians, and buskers often draw small crowds, and it’s common to see people pause mid-errand to listen before continuing on. Because there is no traffic, the street feels more like a gathering place than a thoroughfare, which is part of why it’s such a memorable part of the city during the holidays.
Congratulations to this week’s riddle winners:
Teresa McHugh
Susan Campagna
