Friday Night Flights & Bites 6/20 & 6/27, Starting at 2pm
This summer, we're taking you on a journey through Ireland, one distillery at a time. Every two weeks, we’ll spotlight a new Irish whiskey house with a curated flight exploring its signature styles and unique character. We begin with none other than Jameson, the flagship of Irish whiskey, whose story shaped the survival and resurgence of the entire category.
A Legacy Without Fear
Jameson began in 1780 on Bow Street in Dublin, founded by John Jameson, a Scotsman who quickly made a name for himself in a city bursting with distilleries. By 1805, Jameson had become the top-selling Irish whiskey in the world. Known for its triple-distilled smoothness, Jameson was produced in what became a “city within a city”—the Bow Street Distillery, which at its peak covered six acres and employed hundreds of skilled workers.
But the 20th century brought steep challenges: war, Prohibition, and trade conflicts decimated the Irish whiskey industry. Jameson endured. In 1966, it joined with the remaining distillers of Ireland to form Irish Distillers and protect the future of the category. Production eventually moved to a modern facility in Midleton, County Cork, where every drop of Jameson is now made. From Bow Street to the world stage, Jameson is more than a whiskey, it’s a legacy.
This flight highlights three distinct Jameson expressions, each one a tribute to its craftsmanship and innovation. An optional add-on explores a bold new twist on tradition.

Suggested Enjoyment
Start with the whiskey—let it coat your palate and evolve. Then sample the bites to see how the flavors change. The goal isn’t to match flavors exactly, but to draw out new ones. Salty, sweet, and creamy snacks can soften spice, highlight fruit, or deepen oak—revealing layers you might otherwise miss.
Next up: Midleton’s other icons. Stay tuned as we tour Ireland’s top distilleries all summer long.
